If you own any one of Pixel 3, 3 XL, 3a, 4, 4a, 4a (5G), 5, or 5a with 5G, when will your device get its last due major Android update? The answer is, three years after the release date. Dates of the last Android updates for Pixel 3 to 5a with 5G
Pixel 1, 1 XL, 2, and 2 XL have already reached their end of support cycles, and so will not be getting any more software updates. If you still have one of those, it just might be time to retire it and buy a more up-to-date model, preferably from Pixel 4 upwards. It is also interesting that Google has announced that the Pixel 3a will also get Android 12L, which is a build of Android that’s tailored for devices with larger displays, e.g. tablets, foldables, etc. Android 12L is expected in the first quarter of 2022. According to the company, Android 12L will be an incremental upgrade for all Android 12 phones (non-Pixels too).
What of Software Updates for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro?
